OPENING

The hall was packed, the Toastmaster of the Day delayed by Bangalore traffic, reached the hall in the nick of time and the meeting opened exactly at 6:30 pm with the stentorian voice of the acting Sergeant at arms, Karunakar Dev. The energy level in the hall was high and Mr. Dev matched it perfectly with a strong address in which he mentioned that strength of will is in itself an achievement

PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS

The President, Cherian Thomas, called the meeting to order and enthusiastically welcomed the many guests in the audience. The secretary, Raghunandan Damle, read out the minutes of the previous meeting, which were passed. The President enlarged upon the theme by narrating the extraordinary story of Ida Scudder, who founded the Christian Medical College in Vellore.

TOASTMASTER OF THE DAY

As Toastmaster of the Day, unpredictable Bruno D’Souza, touched upon the even more extraordinary story of Dashrath Manjhi, whose will literally carved a way through a mountain.
