Theme of the Day:  The great aim of education is not knowledge but action.

Word of the Day:  Cajole (verb)
 
Meaning - To persuade by flattery.

Usage - The athlete cajoled a signing bonus out of the team's owner.

MEETING OPENED:  Sergeant@Arms, TM Karunakar Dev, kick-started the meeting with great ardor at exactly 6:30 pm sharing a personal story of teaching underprivileged children by being a part of Rotaract Club, a youth organization committed for a better tomorrow.

PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS: The astute club president, TM Cherian Thomas, called the meeting to order and gave a very informative presidential address on the theme of the day touching upon the story of Manoj Bhargava and his pursuit to change the world by producing clean energy and water and aid health, which left the audience wanting for more.

INTRODUCTORY REMARKS BY TOASTMASTER OF THE DAY:  As Toastmaster of the Day, the humor king of BTMC, TM Samuel Wankhede, gave his audience a very happening Friday evening to remember filled with fun, laughter and gaiety.




INTRODUCTORY REMARKS BY GENERAL EVALUATOR:   As GE for the day, the very amiable and assiduous, TM Prakash Tamhankar, introduced his TAG team and later gave a very razor-sharp evaluation of the entire meeting.

AGENDA 2:  TABLE TOPICS:  As Table Topics Master, the calm and composed, TM Esther Chandy, had some really fabulous topics which got the speakers thinking on their feet instantly.

AGENDA 3:  SPEECHCRAFT - II AWARDS  - Few of the Speechcraft - II participants, who were present during the meeting were awarded their participation certificates by the club president, TM Cherian Thomas.

AGENDA 4:  EVALUATION SESSION

1.  TM Sreejith Kizhakillot's project was evaluated by TM Raghunandan Damle.


2.  TM Sanjana Oolety's project was evaluated by TM Payal Bhulani.



AGENDA 5:  MOMENTS OF TRUTH - Conducted by TM Joseph Dass, Vice President - Education





TM Joseph Dass explained the members and guests present about Moments of Truth, which is a club self-evaluation tool - part of The Successful Club Series.  All the members present participated in this evaluation and rated the club on various standards set by Toastmasters International.  The standards were -
1.  First Impressions.
2.  Membership Orientation.
3.  Fellowship, Variety, and Communication.
4.  Program Planning and Meeting Organization. 
5.  Membership Strength.
6.  Achievement Recognition.

The members rated each standard based on the following rating scale -

1 - We never met this standard.
2 - We rarely meet this standard. 
3 - We sometimes meet this standard.
4 - We usually meet this standard.
5 - We always meet this standard.

Though the club was rated as a 5 in most of the standards, the few most important areas of improvement suggested by the members were the following - 

1.  The club does not regularly schedule social events.
2.  The challenges faced by the club in retaining its members.
3.  Learning needs of the members are not assessed.
4.  The meetings does not end on time (at 8:30 pm) causing inconvenience to its members.

Area Director - Area D3, TM Kynan D'Souza, graced the occasion and congratulated Bangalore Toastmasters Club and its members for its impeccable performance.
