Conquer the Stage

Speech and evaluation contests are an important part of the Toastmasters educational program.  They provide an opportunity for Toastmasters to gain speaking and evaluation experience as well as an opportunity for other Toastmasters to learn by observing proficient speakers and evaluators.

Venue/Time:  Ashirwad - Loyola Hall, St Marks Road / 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

MEETING OPENED:  The meeting was started at precisely 6:30 pm by Sergeant@Arms for the day, TM Deepankar Dev, with enthusiasm and excitement.

CLUB LEVEL CONTEST:  Club president, TM Cherian Thomas, called the meeting as well as the contest to order and introduced the Chief Judge for the contest - TM Geetha Prasanna.  She is the current District 92 Public Relation Officer as well as a member of Talkmagic Toastmasters club.

AGENDA #1:  CLUB LEVEL HUMOROUS SPEECH CONTEST   -  One of the purposes of the Humorous speech contest is to recognize the value of humor in speeches.

CONTEST CHAIR - TM Ratan Shetty, gave an overview of the Humorous speech contest and introduced all the contestants.

AGENDA #2:  CLUB LEVEL EVALUATION CONTEST   - The purpose of an Evaluation is to motivate the speaker to continually improve, by providing reinforcement for their strengths and gently offering useful advice.

CONTEST CHAIR - TM Sapna Chandiramani gave an overview of the Evaluation contest and introduced the test speaker as well as all the contestants.
