Venue/Time:  Ashirwad - Loyola Hall, St Marks Road / 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Theme of the Day:  If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Word of the Day:  Gumption (noun) – shrewd or spirited initiative and resourcefulness (full of confidence and guts)

Usage - It takes a sizable amount of gumption to confront your fears.

MEETING OPENED:  Sergeant@Arms, TM Karunakar Dev, started the meeting with grit, guts and gumption at precisely 6:30 pm.

                                      

PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS:  Stepping in as President for the day, TM Joseph Dass, our VP Education, called the meeting to order and delivered a very thought-provoking presidential address touching on the theme of the day " If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

INTRODUCTORY REMARKS BY TOASTMASTER OF THE DAY:  As Toastmaster of the Day, TM Mahaveer Jain, mesmerized us with his flawless perfection.

                               

INTRODUCTORY REMARKS BY GENERAL EVALUATOR:   As GE for the day, the very gentle TM Godfrey Soans introduced his TAG team and in the end gave a very cool and crisp evaluation of the entire meeting.

AGENDA 1:  PREPARED SPEECHES

Speakers:
1.  TM Aman Mahajan attempted his first project from Competent Communicator Manual.
Title – "ICE BREAKER."



 

2.  TM Payal Bhulani attempted her fifth project from Advanced Communicator Bronze (Speaking to Inform Manual Project).
Title – "ICEBERG – THE THREE LEVELS OF MIND."  



3.  Guest speaker TM Shilpi Gupta of Indiranagar Pride Toastmasters Club attempted her sixth project from Competent Communicator Manual.
Title – "FREEDOM TO CHOOSE MR. RIGHT."
 

 


AGENDA 2:  TABLE TOPICS:  As Table Topics Master, tactful TM Prakash Tamhankar, jogged everyone's grey matter .

Topic – As President Obama addressing the world after 9/11.

Topic – As Prime Minister Modi on Dawood Attack.

Topic – As Chief Minister Siddaramaiah convincing why the 4-hour power cut is better for all of us.

Topic – As a journalist to make a case on why we should keep paying higher power charges even though we face power cuts every day.

Topic – As a marketing personnel for Tata BP Solar and sell a solar to the audience.


Topic – Convince the audience to pay tax.

Topic – Convince the audience on new taxation system (GST).

Title – 100 smart cities

Title – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Title – Make in India

1.  TM Varun Dev (VP Finance) urged the members to renew their membership to Bangalore Toastmasters Club by paying their dues on or before September 25, 2015



CLUB ACHIEVEMENT:
Our very own DTM Dr. Rajdeep Manwani gave his first TED talk on September 12, 2015, at TEDx MSRIT - An Illusion called Success.





 ADJOURNMENT:  At 8:40 by the VP Membership (TM Sahil Jain).
