Minutes of Club Meeting # 970
September 4, 2015
Conquer the Stage
Conquer the Stage
Dear Toastmasters,
It is very easy to be swept up into what other people think
you should do or what you think you are to do or what everybody else around you
wants you to do. So, as Gretchen Rubin, author and speaker, rightly puts it - you should really take
the time and energy to think about yourself.
Knowing yourself is imperative to reaching your goals and being
successful. Without self-knowledge, one
will just glide through life without really living it.
Theme of the Day: The
key to success is knowing yourself.
Venue/Time: Ashirwad -
Loyola Hall, St Marks Road / 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Total Attendees – 28
Members – 16. Guests - 12
Word of the Day: Abjure (verb) – solemnly renounce (a
belief, cause, or a claim)
Usage - He would need time
to decide if he truly wanted to abjure his citizenship from his beloved
country.
