PREPARED SPEECHES
Sanjana OJ delivered project 2 – Organize your
Speech – from the Competent Communicator manual. She persuaded people not to
sacrifice happiness for the sake of money. Her speech was evaluated by Ashish Varghese.
Smitha Roshy delivered project 6 – Vocal Variety – from
the Competent Communicator manual. Her speech was about miracles and it was evaluated
by Godfrey Soans.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Sriram, a guest
from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Toastmasters Club, who attended the
meeting with his classmates, invited us to their Toastmasters conference, which
is to be held in Vellore in November this year.

ELECTIONS FOR CLUB OFFICERS OF THE NEXT TERM
JULY-DEC 2016
The Nomination committee
chair, Vijay Anand, presided over the elections for the next term. He was
assisted by Bhavana Jha, Sujay Simha and Smitha Roshy. He asked the VP
Membership, Joseph Dass, to state the current membership strength of the club. Joseph
Dass said it was 75. Vijay Anand stated that the minimum attendance required for
elections to be held based on the current strength of the club was 38 members.
As there were 47 members present, elections could be held.
The
nominations for each role were as follows:
President: Joseph Dass, Prakash Tamhankar
Vice President Education: Ashish Varghese
Vice President Membership: Vijay Kalkundri
Vice President Public Relations: Lalith Dhanush, Karunakar Dev
Secretary: Mahesh Vittal Rao
Treasurer: Lalith Dhanush, Srija Jampana
Sergeant at Arms: Melvyn Smith
Where there was
only one nominee for a position, the Secretary, Raghunandan Damle, cast his
vote in favour of the single candidate.
The elected
