MEETING OPENED: At 6:30 p.m. by Sergeant@Arms and called to order by President.
PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS: At 6:40 with introduction of Toastmaster of Day (TOD).

SPEAKERS:
1. TM Rahul Bhuyan attempted his first speech from Competent Communicator Manual - ICEBREAKER. A title for the speech was not provided by the speaker.
2. TM Johnson Bruno D'Souza attempted his second speech from Competent Communicator Manual titled "UNIFICATION OF INDIA."
3. TM Purushottam Reddy attempted his third speech from Competent Communicator Manual titled "DRESSING FOR TOASTMASTERS MEETING.
AGENDA 4: EVALUATION SESSION
1. TM Rahul Bhuyan's speech was evaluated by TM Mahaveer Jain.
2. TM Johnson Bruno D'Souza's speech was evaluated by TM Ratan Shetty.
3. TM Purushottam Reddy's speech was evaluated by TM Joseph Dass.

AGENDA 5: MEMBER CONCERNS AND CLARIFICATION BY PRESIDENT
CONCERNS:1. DTM Rajdeep Manwani mirrored the concerns of some senior members regarding the present committee's decision to do away with the best evaluator award.
2. DTM Rajdeep Manwani also pointed out that some members were concerned with the present committee's observation regarding evaluation standards at the club.
PRESIDENT'S REPLY:
The president, TM Cherian Thomas, clarified that mentoring and evaluation are two areas we would like to improve as a club. These two areas were chosen after a lot of members pointed out that there is scope for mentoring and evaluation to be better. The evaluators perform the role of evaluators because they are good and don't need a certificate to prove that. The best evaluator award has been removed as the committee does not want the temptation among evaluators to convert evaluation into a performance. The idea behind the move is to focus on the speaker, and help the speaker with tangible inputs for his/her growth. This is just an experiment. If it's not helping, we will be happy to reinstate the evaluator award. The committee has within its powers to keep or remove an award.

The move to increase interaction among other toastmaster clubs, and invite evaluators from those clubs, is to add variety to our meetings and expose our club members to talented toastmasters from other clubs.
